Today marks the first month I had arrived in the UK. It is indeed a busy month settling down here as this is my very first time coming to the UK. One month and almost everything is settled. Classes has started, assignments are given, friends are made and accent stays the same. Malaysian slang yo!
And yes, I finally decided to start blogging again. I had neglected my blogging habits for years and it will take time to get used to this kind of life again. I don't wish for many readers, I mean, who still blogs nowadays? This is mainly a place where I can upload my life in the UK for memory purposes and share it with everyone to see.
One month here and I am really home "food" sick. No doubt, I miss everyone back in Malaysia but the thing that I miss the most is the food. Thus, in the past one month, I have been recreating home cooked food from Malaysia to satisfy my cravings. Although so, there are so many more food from home that I can't recreate here. =(

What are my feeling when I touchdown in the UK?
Honestly, despite having pep talks with my friends who had been to the UK, I still feel strange. The air, atmosphere and things I am familiar when I am back home is now something new that I have to adapt with. Well, mostly its the weather I have to adapt with. Mixed feelings of excitement and also worries that I can't adapt well here filled me up so I really don't know my feelings. The worst is that the life here is so independent that I don't even know how to open my room door the first time I arrive at my room.

So many things to be done when I arrived at the university that I don't even have time to unpack my luggage. Straight from my room, I have to go to the registration to register myself with the university and get my Overseas Orientation Students Programme pass. The problem I have at that time is that my university is really big and unlike back home, I don't have a car with me and I have to walk, so I started roaming around the place like a lost puppy asking for directions to anyone who I see first. Maybe its me, but the first day there, I don't really understand what's going on and also having a jet lag, I don't understand a thing anyone said, which got me really lost.
Then my luck changed and I met a bunch of awesome new friends who are from Malaysia who then bring me to the correct places to get registered and settled in.

After registration is done? Finding food is next on the list. Not knowing where to go or what to eat, we then embarked on a journey for the sole purpose to fill up our tummy.

Maybe its the hunger that we had but the Lamb Briyani from Kebabish is so delicious.
With the briyani filled in my tummy, not worrying about registration, not afraid to be lonely and most importantly, settled in for the day, the day has ended.
The next few days is all about getting household items, shopping and exploring around the university town and orientation.

Did I also mention that I recreated some food from Malaysia?
